Hanni from NewJeans couldn’t help but tease Minji after the latter playfully interacted with the audience during the group’s show at Sejong University.
On June 1, Minji used the platform Phoning to connect with fans. During the interaction, she encouraged the group’s official fandom Bunnies to refrain from watching the university festival video.

During her confession, she mentioned that Ms. Pham Hanni often made fun of her behavior at the music festival. She also questioned why she acted the way she did at Sejong University and acknowledged that she should avoid wearing a hat in the future.

Minji, a member of NewJeans, has been participating in performances at multiple university festivals, beginning with Korea University on May 25.
After that, they went on to perform at Chosun University, Dong-eui University, and Pusan National University on May 27 and 28. They then visited Dongguk University and Sejong University on May 30, and concluded their tour with a performance at Chung-Ang University on May 31.
While on stage, NewJeans played a selection of their top hits, including their latest tracks “How Sweet”and “Bubble Gum.”Their show received a positive reception from the crowd at the festival.
Minji’s standout performance at Sejong University was made even more memorable by her choice of attire, a denim hat. She engaged with the audience through playful gestures like blowing kisses and loosening her tie, adding an extra layer of charm to her performance.

Following the festivals, Hanni and Danielle playfully teased Minji for her lively performance during a live broadcast, sparking even more conversation.
NewJeans has announced their plan to donate all profits from their festival performances to the Korea Scholarship Foundation, according to recent news.
At the same time, NewJeans remains successful on both domestic and international charts thanks to their newly released double single “How Sweet.”
During the week of May 24-30, the title track “How Sweet”made its debut on Spotify’s Weekly Top Song Global chart, ranking at 85th place. Additionally, it achieved first place in both South Korea and Taiwan.
“How Sweet”and “Bubble Gum”are ranked second and third, respectively, on domestic music charts such as Melon.
The girl group has been promoting their songs on multiple programs and have achieved sweeping music show wins. To illustrate, NewJeans won two crowns for their song “How Sweet”after securing first place on both “Show! Champion”and “Music Bank.”
NewJeans has announced that their first Japanese single, “Supernatural,”will be released on June 21. Additionally, they will be holding a fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome on June 26 and 27.
