NewJeans Minji speaks out against ADOR-HYBE conflict: ‘Why Do We Need to Suffer?’

Despite the ongoing infighting between HYBE and ADOR, NewJeans Minji reached out through phone calls to express her frustration. She hinted at how the conflict is negatively impacting not only the group, but also their fans.

Following the replacement of Min Hee Jin as the CEO of ADOR, the impact of the new management’s changes is already being noticed by NewJeans and its devoted fans, the Bunnies.

On September 2nd, the people in the group were confused when they discovered that all of the videos on Ban Heeseo’s YouTube channel had been removed. This channel was centered around a character that symbolized Bunnies and served as a “safe haven”for them.

The group’s latest release, “Ditto,”not only holds precious memories with their fans and five members, but it also showcases the conceptual world that propelled the girl group’s status in the music industry.

After a change in management, Director Shin Woo Seok of Dolphiners Films has made the decision to discontinue their collaboration with NewJeans.

Ban Heeseo was the CORE of NewJeans Ditto and OMG era.. wiping it ALL OUT without any second thoughts pretty much gives you an idea how much “creativity”is actually NOT respected by the new ADOR management and neither got any best interests for the girls

Additionally, it is important to mention that Min Hee Jin holds a role similar to that of a “mother”figure for the girl group. Therefore, removing her from her position greatly affected and hurt them.

After learning about this development, Bunnies took to various social media platforms to express their complaints and also called out HYBE for attempting to undermine NewJeans.

Despite the tense atmosphere, NewJeans stayed quiet while the eldest and leader, Minji, could no longer contain her emotions and eventually released her pent-up feelings in a lengthy letter on Phoning.

The young female star began by greeting her fans and then said:

“Hello Bunnies. The weather today is so nice. I couldn’t withstand the heat and wished that summer would pass by hurriedly. However, although the sky was becoming clear and I could feel that autumn was coming, I rather felt uneasy today. “

She alluded to her knowledge of the ongoing conflict between ADOR and HYBE and added:

“I’ve been meaning to tell you about this and that in my day, but I wasn’t able to. It’s been a week then. I wanted to come and comfort Bunnies who were concerned and are comforting us, assuring you that, ‘it is fine,’ but I am not confident to do so this time.

The day already passes by so quickly for us to even talk about good things, so why do we have to needlessly suffer? I’m deeply sorry about that, and I’m really frustrated that I can’t do anything to resolve it at all.”

As the message came to a close, she expressed her despair and then continued:

“Even as I am writing it, just like yesterday, there is nothing that I can do and nothing that I can resolve. I don’t know when will the days of uncertainty will end, and though it might be selfish of me to say this, I hope Bunnies and us will no longer need to suffer. I apologize for doing this at a late time. Good night.”
