On April 25, Min Hee-jin, the CEO of ADOR, the agency of NewJeans, held a press conference to discuss the ongoing feud between ADOR and HYBE, addressing the various controversies surrounding the matter.
At this event, Min Hee-jin shared text messages she had received from the parents of NewJeans members, the majority of which expressed support for Min Hee-jin and disapproval of HYBE.
Despite previous claims that most NewJeans members were under Source Music before joining ADOR with Min Hee-jin, the parents held a different perspective. They sent messages expressing their belief that the information about Min Hee-jin taking their children away from Source Music was completely untrue.
According to NewJeans’ parents, HYBE was fabricating a story about Min Hee-jin poaching trainees from Source Music and leaving the company in financial trouble. They also believe that HYBE intentionally leaked this information to the media in order to portray ADOR and NewJeans in a negative way.
The following are text messages that were sent by the parents of NewJeans members:
- Their claims make fans of LE SSERAFIM have a bad impression of NewJeans
- Are they saying that you take trainees from Source Music and form a new agency despite Source Music having paid for the training fees? They are obvious trying to make it sounds like Source Music suffered
- This information… It started not from a prestigious news site but from other means… It’s likely that HYBE intentionally spread it around. Perhaps we should talk more about how NewJeans was formed
- They made up a blatant lie about the CEO stealing trainees from Source Music, putting Source Music in debt, to the point of disbanding Gfriend…
- Wow, they (HYBE) are truly despicable
