NewJeans’ ‘Supernatural’ and ‘How Sweet’ Soar in Popularity on Billboard Charts in the US

According to the latest Billboard chart (dated September 14), released on the 10th (local time), NewJeans’ Japanese debut single title track “Supernatural” has impressively ranked 112th on the ‘Global (excluding the US)’ chart for 11 consecutive weeks.

Additionally, the double single “How Sweet” and its title track, which was released in May, achieved a ranking of 121st on the ‘Global (excluding the US)’ chart, marking 15 weeks of consistent presence on this chart.

The popularity of NewJeans is evident in major domestic music charts as well. On the Melon Weekly Chart (compiled from September 2 to September 8), “How Sweet” ranked 5th while “Supernatural” secured the 11th position, demonstrating their ongoing popularity even after 3 and 2 months since their respective releases. Overall, NewJeans has earned a cherished status for both new and previous songs, featuring a total of 9 tracks on this chart.

In Japan, the group continues to show strong appeal, with 7 songs appearing on Spotify Japan’s ‘Weekly Top Songs’ during the counting period from August 30 to September 5.

Moreover, NewJeans showcased their remarkable status by winning four awards, including ‘Worldwide Icon,’ ‘World Best Performer,’ ‘Artist of the Year,’ and ‘Musinsa Popularity Award’ at the ‘2024 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS’ held at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan on the 8th.

They have also received nominations for ‘Best Group’ and ‘Best K-Pop’ at the esteemed ‘2024 MTV Video Music Awards (2024 MTV VMAs).’
