On August 1st, Hanni from NewJeans attended a promotional event at the outdoor plaza of Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Shop in Dongdaemun, Jung-gu, Seoul.
Recently, Hanni performed with a short bog hair wig, but she appeared in a white tube top dress with long straight hair. The female idol exuded a combination of innocence and maturity.
Throughout the promotion of her double singles “How Sweet”and “Bubble Gum”, which were both released on May 24th, Hanni predominantly appeared on stage with a short hairstyle. However, during a guest appearance on the YouTube channel “Halmyungsoo”in May, she shocked viewers by admitting that her bob hair in the music video for “Bubble Gum”was actually a wig. She explained, “I wanted to try something different and I think the wig gave my hair a unique look, almost like it was cut with kitchen scissors. I actually quite liked it.”
At a fanmeeting in Tokyo Dome, Japan, Hanni performed the iconic song “Aoi Sangoshou” by Seiko Matsuda, which was originally released in 1980. Her rendition of the song in a cute marine-themed outfit and with her new short hair caught much attention, solidifying her status as a rising female idol.
Since her debut, Hanni has embraced a diverse range of styles. This year, she took on a new look with blonde hair during a photoshoot for the fashion magazine “W Korea” . In her interview for W Korea, Hanni expressed her gratitude to all those who have supported her and shared her determination to reciprocate the love she has received.
