NewJeans’s Minji Cheers On Sejong Law Firm Winning Min Hee-jin’s Injunction Against HYBE?

On May 30th, a post titled “Real-time Reaction of Minji to NewJeans”was shared on the online forum “FMKorea”and received a lot of attention with 420,000 views and 430 comments.

According to the post, Minji visited the fan communication app Phoning and responded to a fan’s comment that read, “Sejong University~~~ Festival Fighting!!!!!”. In her reply, Minji cheered on both Sejong University and Dongguk University by saying, “Sejong~~~University~~Dongguk University~~~Fighting kk”. Later that day, NewJeans performed at both universities’ festivals.

On the 30th, the court decided to grant the provisional injunction filed by ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin against HYBE, ordering the company to refrain from exercising their voting rights. As a result, Min Hee-jin will remain as ADOR’s CEO for the time being.

Coincidentally, the legal representative for Min Hee-jin was from the law firm Sejong, which shares the same name as Sejong University. Netizens pointed out that Minji wrote “Dongguk University~~~”but “Sejong~~~University”in different ways, leading to speculation that she was showing support for the court’s decision in favor of CEO Min Hee-jin.
