Warzone will be integrated with Black Ops 6 in Season 1, resulting in a major Perk rework for the Battle Royale.
Perks are a crucial component of a successful Warzone loadout as they provide buffs and bonuses that can give you an edge over your opponents. Unfortunately, a few popular choices often overshadow others, making them less frequently chosen.
The developers have announced at CoD Next that they plan to introduce a major overhaul of Perks in response to the release of Black Ops 6 and its integration into Warzone.
The Pick 3 system will be reintroduced, resulting in a decrease of one selectable number in loadout. Additionally, the total number of available Perks will be reduced to 18, which is significantly lower than the current 29 options.
Out of the 18 available options, five are completely new to Warzone. Additionally, some of the options merge the effects of multiple less popular Perks into one, making them more valuable and deserving of a place in your loadout.
To illustrate, the Perks Tracker and Combat Scout have been merged into a single Perk, while a brand new pick named Sprinter effectively consolidates several movement Perks into one by providing unlimited Tac Sprint.
The objective is to increase the individual value of each Perk, eliminating the need to combine them for a strong build.

Additionally, it was verified that the selection of Perks per slot allows for customization of your preferred playstyle, whether that be enhanced movement, heightened awareness of your surroundings, or increased survivability.
Despite the changes being made to your custom loadout, there will still be certain Perks that can be found as ground loot. These popular options, such as Tracker and Cold Blooded, will be available, while Shrouded and Irradiated will solely be obtainable as loot and will not be among the 18 main Perks.
Although there have been numerous alterations, Perk Packages will make a comeback in Warzone following its integration with Black Ops 6, albeit with a lesser significance. The Specialist Package will still be available throughout the map, providing all Perks simultaneously, and eliminated Operators will continue to drop their personalized loadouts as Perk Packages.
The impact of these changes on the flow of matches remains to be seen, but it will be fascinating to observe how the meta evolves as players become familiar with the new system.
The upcoming release of Black Ops 6 will bring with it a plethora of other updates to Warzone, such as improved movement mechanics, a plethora of fresh weapons, and the addition of the Area 99 Resurgence map.
