Next Netflix ‘Greatest Roast’ Target After Tom Brady: A Bigger Celebrity Star

<p>Netflix is actively seeking a new target for their next sports comedy roast, with a particular focus on a renowned golfing legend.

The first celebrity roasted in the streaming platform’s GROAT (Greatest Roast of All Time) series was football Hall of Famer Tom Brady.

Netflix viewers dedicated 1.67 billion minutes to watching Brady face a barrage of jokes from fellow football stars and comedians. This success has prompted the platform to search for its next comedy roast target.

Now, according to Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, Netflix is reportedly attempting to secure golf icon Tiger Woods as the next comedic roast subject.

Tiger Woods is regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time, currently tied for the most PGA Tour wins (82) alongside the legendary Sam Snead. He also holds the record as the youngest player to achieve victories in all four major golf championships: the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and The Open Championship, early in his illustrious career.

Similar to Brady, Woods is recognized as one of the premier male athletes of his generation, earning accolades both within the sports community and in the public eye.

Woods would be an excellent candidate for a Netflix roast, as, like Brady, the scandals surrounding his public life provide rich material for witty jokes.

The most notorious scandal occurred in 2009 when US Weekly reported that Woods was involved in a long-term affair, even releasing a voicemail he had left for the woman.

Following this revelation, Woods admitted to the incident in a statement, labeling it a “transgression” and expressed apologies to his family and fans. However, approximately a dozen other women later came forward, alleging they had similar encounters with him.

This ultimately led to the dissolution of his marriage with Elin Nordegren in August 2010, after six years and two children together.

Just as Brady’s divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen was a focal point of his roast, it is likely that Woods would face similar scrutiny from his panel of roasters.

As of now, Netflix has not officially confirmed whether Woods will star in the upcoming GROAST presentation.
