Streamer NICKMERCS has expressed his belief that Dr Disrespect was truthful when he claimed Twitch had plotted against him and is urging the fellow streamer to disclose the direct messages that led to his ban.
Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Guy Beahm, made his return to streaming on September 6 after revelations by former Twitch employees indicated he was banned in 2020 for inappropriate messages sent to a minor.
During his broadcast, Dr Disrespect accused Twitch of conspiring against him, suggesting that his former partner manager collaborated with a friend from Twitch’s Law Enforcement Response team to selectively use out-of-context messages that contributed to his permanent ban.
Many of Dr Disrespect’s closest friends in the streaming community, including TimTheTatman and NICKMERCS, distanced themselves from him after his deeply critical statement was released. However, NICKMERCS had more to add following Beahm’s re-entry into the streaming world.
NICKMERCS has distanced himself from Dr Disrespect.
NICKMERCS stated that he isn’t concerned about the legal aspects of the situation, even as Dr Disrespect maintains that he has never violated the law regarding the inappropriate messages sent to a minor.
“For me, this is not about legality,” he asserted. “I don’t care if he didn’t break any laws or if a judge found him guilty or not. He admitted to it. We know enough that there was a conversation going on. We also know he had been cheating on his wife, you can put two and two together.”
Despite wanting to sever ties with Dr Disrespect completely, NICKMERCS remains convinced that Twitch played a role in getting him banned.
Nickmercs responded to Dr Disrespect’s return and says: -Doc apologized to them the day his statement released -Nick doesn’t care about the “legal”side of it -Thinks Twitch was plotting against Doc still -He needs to reveal the whispers if he’s backtracking now -He won’t… pic.twitter.com/GFBewWj9Hf

“As far as the Twitch ban goes, there are many individuals there who don’t make sound decisions. I also have no doubt that there were people at Twitch conspiring against Doc. No doubt,” he continued. “We’ve witnessed many questionable actions at Twitch, including those involving hot tub streams and the use of slurs that often go without punishment.”
NICKMERCS urged Dr Disrespect to reveal the Whisper messages he exchanged with the minor, especially since he is “so adamant about them not being bad.”
In his record-breaking return stream, Beahm suggested that he still had “more to disclose,” but has no intention of releasing those messages. He also indicated there would be “repercussions” for ex-Twitch employee Cody Conners, who initially disclosed the reason for his ban; however, Conners has stated that he is not involved in any legal conflict, leaving Doc’s potential legal action against Twitch uncertain.
