NICKMERCS Criticizes Dr Disrespect’s “Inexcusable” Behavior, Sparking Fan Controversy

Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff expressed strong disapproval upon hearing about Dr Disrespect’s return to YouTube streaming.

Following the news of his Twitch ban in June, Dr Disrespect admitted to sending inappropriate messages to a minor, leading to backlash from several prominent streamers and content creators, including NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman.

After taking a lengthy break from broadcasting, Dr Disrespect returned with a YouTube stream that set a new personal viewership record.

Notably, NICKMERCS reacted to this comeback in a concise post on Twitter/X, criticizing Dr Disrespect for his actions and labeling him a “ret**d” for messaging a minor, emphasizing that he is “married with children [and] pushin’ 40.”

As a controversial figure himself, NICKMERCS mentioned he severed ties with Dr Disrespect “because obviously [that behavior is] inexcusable.”

In a social media statement, NICKMERCS also addressed critics who labeled him a “fake friend” for not supporting Dr Disrespect. He remarked, “Now I’m a sh** friend for not having his back??? Buncha brain-rot morons on this app.”

Some fans voiced displeasure with NICKMERCS’s remarks, arguing he should maintain support for the banned streamer.

NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect have a well-documented history together, having collaborated multiple times in the past, although their relationship has not always been smooth.

NICKMERCS is not the only notable streamer to critique Dr Disrespect’s fans following his return; DrLupo, another former collaborator, also voiced his opinions, particularly targeting viewers who accused him of “turning on people.”

DrLupo clarified he cannot continue to support someone who has acted inappropriately with a minor, stating, “You do not defend that, there’s no defending it.”
