Nickmercs Receives First Twitch Ban Under Mysterious Circumstances

Popular Warzone streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff was banned from Twitch in the early hours of Friday, June 28.

Nickmercs has enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous tenure on Twitch, which is owned by Amazon. This will be his initial ban from the platform.

On June 27, Nick streamed live playing the Elden Ring DLC and challenged Messmer the Impaler, just like many other popular Twitch streamers.

Currently, it is not known what led to the ban, and as there have been no previous suspensions from the platform, there is no past record to indicate a specific cause.

NICKMERCS’ Twitch channel now shows the generic copy for when an account is suspended.

This news comes shortly after the revelation that Nick’s close friend and popular YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect’s Twitch ban was finally explained, almost four years after it originally occurred.

The Doc was found to have used the Twitch Whisper system to send sexually explicit messages to a minor in 2017, and he admitted to doing so.

The messages were discovered after the fact and he received a ban in June 2020, although he was not provided with a justification for the ban at that time.

Ever since the news broke, Nick has openly expressed disapproval of Dr Disrespect’s actions, stating that he cannot support them and distancing himself from the streamer.

Despite this, he is still in partnership with Kick and his account is still active on the platform. Therefore, there is a possibility that he will continue to stream exclusively on Kick in the near future.

Although the reason for NICKMERCS’ ban is currently unknown, he will likely inform his community, the MFAM, once he has more information. Typically, a first-time offense results in a three-day ban, but the length may vary depending on the seriousness of his actions.
