u003cp>Is the wind scented like rain? Nicolas Cage will be reprising his role as Spider-Man in Noir, a new live-action TV series coming to Prime Video.
Cage made his first appearance as the black-and-white wall-crawler in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is not only considered one of the greatest Spider-Man movies, but also one of the best superhero movies ever created. He joined forces with Miles Morales and his team of web-heads from different dimensions to confront Kingpin.
At the conclusion of Across the Spider-Verse, he made a brief appearance, suggesting that he may team up with Spider-Gwen and the others in the third and final installment. While it is uncertain if this will actually happen, one thing is certain: he will be making his live-action debut in his own Noir TV series.
According to Variety, Amazon has given the green light for the series and Cage has been officially cast as Spider-Man, although the amount of web-swinging in the show remains uncertain.

According to the official logline, which was released by Variety in 2024, the live-action series on Amazon will center around an older, struggling private investigator named Nicolas Cage in 1930s New York. As the city’s former superhero, Cage must come to terms with his past as he faces new challenges and obstacles. It can be assumed that this version of Spidey is well past his prime.
The show is created by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, while executive producers include Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, known for their work on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
According to Vernon Sanders, the head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, the addition of Noir to the Marvel universe is an exceptional chance. They are privileged to present this series to their worldwide Prime Video audience.
“The highly skilled Nicolas Cage is the perfect selection for our latest superhero, and the accomplished production team consisting of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and the exceptional team at Sony is committed to expanding this franchise in an authentic manner.”
President of Sony Pictures Television Studios, Katherine Pope, expressed her excitement for Nicolas Cage being cast as the lead in the series. She believes that Cage’s ability to portray emotion and depth will bring a unique quality to the character.
“We are fortunate to have a skilled team of producers and partners at Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video to collaborate with in bringing this reimagining of a beloved character to life within Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters.”
As of now, Noir does not have a scheduled release date. However, you can learn all the information we have about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man 4, and also explore other new movies available for streaming this month.
