On June 18, 2024, Joseph Chou, CEO of Sola Entertainment, announced the production of the second season of the Ninja Kamui anime. This announcement was made through a press release promoting the franchise’s first video game, NINJA KAMUI: SHINOBI ORIGINS, which will be available on Nintendo Switch.
Ninja Kamui, an original anime produced by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment, made its debut in February 2024. After 13 episodes, the series has concluded its run. It was broadcast on Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block in the United States and Adult Swim Canada in Canada.
Sola Entertainment confirms production of Ninja Kamui season 2
On June 18, a press release was jointly shared by Rainmaker Productions and Sola Entertainment with various media outlets to reveal the release of NINJA KAMUI: SHINOBI ORIGINS, a prequel game inspired by the top-rated original anime on Adult Swim & MAX.
Following the statement from Sola Entertainment CEO Joseph Chou, it has been confirmed that production for season 2 of the anime Ninja Kamui is underway.

“NINJA KAMUI” anime series has become the most viewed anime ever in the history of both Adult Swim & MAX… We hope this game will continue to entertain the fans around the world while we work on Season 2 of the anime. BE THE NINJA!”
Despite not having announced the release date for Ninja Kamui season 2, Sola Entertainment seems to be gearing up for its release as the game based on the anime was launched immediately after the first season ended. This suggests that Sola Entertainment has promising plans for the franchise.
The game NINJA KAMUI: SHINOBI ORIGINS explores the enigmatic “beginning”that was left unexplained in the original anime, which further supports this idea.
What is Ninja Kamui about?
The plot of Ninja Kamui centers around Joe Logan, a former ruthless ninja assassin who had taken on a new persona and was peacefully residing in the countryside with his spouse and child. Sadly, their peaceful existence was abruptly disrupted when his former clan murdered his loved ones and left him for dead.
Therefore, driven by a desire for vengeance, Joe Logan discarded his new identity and embraced his past to pursue the organization he had previously served. To aid him in his quest, he is joined by the detective team of Emma Samanda and Mike Moriss.
