Ninja Leaves Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 for Reload Due to “Jetpack Sweats” Concerns

Popular streamer Ninja has officially declared, “never playing the regular season again.” The excessive “jetpack sweats”have pushed him to his limit, and he’s not holding back his feelings.

Ninja’s disdain for recent Fortnite seasons isn’t a surprise. He has previously stated that the Battle Royale mode is “for losers” and even urged younger players to stop pestering him to engage with builds.

His increasing frustration has become evident as gameplay mechanics have strayed from what made Fortnite enjoyable for him. He feels the last three seasons, in particular, have been lackluster, leaving him longing for the era when the game was fresh and thrilling.

As Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 celebrated its 7th birthday, Ninja uploaded a video to his YouTube channel. He invited viewers to “remember when Fortnite was good” and critiqued several elements of the game.

In the opening moments of his video, you can watch him using an Iron Man skin, briefly enjoying the Chapter 5 Season 4 map until a duo of Jetpack-wielding foes eliminate him in seconds.

He commented on the situation: “You can’t have an item that if someone has it and you don’t, you lose,” he lamented. “That’s terrible – that’s the opposite of balance.” He also voiced his dissatisfaction with the auto turret and the absence of hitscan weapons, which he believes contributes to the game’s unbalance.

Ninja has now abandoned seasonal play for the third consecutive season. He prefers playing Reload, which seems to resonate with many in the community based on recent Fortnite polls.

He even hinted that if the “OG” mechanics were to return, it would excite the player base. “If OG4 came back, like actual OG, I think everyone would come back,”he stated.

With the 7th birthday festivities still ongoing, featuring cake and balloons, Fortnite faces a significant challenge. Nonetheless, there are plenty of anticipated collaborations to look forward to, such as the Spider-Man vs. Venom event.
