Renowned streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has expressed his opinions on the recent accusations surrounding the permanent ban of Dr Disrespect from Twitch in 2020.
Dr Disrespect responded on June 21, 2024 to accusations made by a former Twitch employee that he was banned from the platform for sending inappropriate messages to a minor.
Doc responded by stating that there was “no evidence of wrongdoing”after a lawsuit was filed against the Amazon-owned platform. On June 24, the game studio Midnight Society, which he co-founded, announced that they had ended their partnership with the influencer.
In a June 25 broadcast, Ninja, a longtime friend of Dr Disrespect, responded to the accusations and shared his thoughts on the situation.
“There are two points I need to make. It is never acceptable to involve a minor in any situation, regardless of the circumstances. It is a serious issue, and it is against the law,”he stated, noting that Midnight Society had ended their association with Doc.
“Conducting their own investigative research behind the scenes, they uncovered sufficient evidence to terminate his employment with the company. This was not a case of placing him on administrative leave or delaying action. In other words, the evidence they found was significant.”

Additionally, in his responses, Dr Disrespect confirmed that he had been compensated for the remaining duration of his contract after Twitch terminated it prematurely. Blevins also chimed in with his thoughts on the matter.
“According to him, settlements are often an indication of wrongdoing, regardless of how they are portrayed to the public. They are used to conceal information and prevent it from becoming public knowledge.”
“Continue to conduct your own research and search for information while we patiently wait for additional evidence.”
This is not the initial instance where Ninja has spoken about Dr Disrespect’s well-known Twitch ban. In October 2020, Blevins stated that he was under the impression that Doc had been informed of the reason for his penalty.
“At the time, he stated, “I do believe he may not have been informed about it, but I also don’t think he is completely unaware of it.”He further explained, “If I were in his position, I would have a pretty good understanding of what I did to receive a ban, rather than being banned out of the blue.”
