Ninja Shares His Unexpected Financial Regret

Streaming sensation Tyler “Ninja” Blevins recently shared insights about his most significant financial regret during a candid discussion, revealing that there is one particular decision he wishes he had reconsidered back in his prime streaming days.

Ninja, widely recognized as one of the most prominent figures in online entertainment and the most followed streamer on Twitch, gained massive popularity for his incredible Fortnite gameplay during the late 2010s. With a reported multi-million dollar fortune, he has been open about his financial life, but now he candidly reflects on a substantial expense he regrets.

Ninja’s Regret: The Cost of Private Travel

In a recent interview on December 14 with FaZe Apex, when asked if there were any aspects of his financial choices he would change, Ninja initially responded that he and his wife, Jessica, had not made any extravagant purchases. He shared that their approach had been to “put everything in the bank” until they could consult with a financial advisor.

However, he acknowledged a specific spending habit he regrets: their frequent private flights. Despite the convenience they offered for his extensive travel commitments, Ninja realized that the expenses were not justifiable.

“We don’t blow money. I’d say if I had a regret, it was flying private as much as we were. That’s all. Just because it’s so expensive,” he explained.

Ninja emphasized that their financial wellbeing is not in jeopardy, stating, “We’re phenomenal, completely well off.” His realization came from understanding that there was no need to spend excessively on luxury flights when more economical options were available.

“There’s definitely levels to it, because the most important thing you’re saving is time. … Happy we’re not doing that anymore,” he added, highlighting a newfound approach to balancing time and money more effectively.

This revelation joins an interesting trend among streamers discussing their financial experiences. Earlier in December, Ninja disclosed that he earned a staggering $5 million in a single month during his peak Fortnite days in another popular conversation. To add to this discussion, fellow streamer Myth shared his own financial details, admitting to receiving $4 million from YouTube for a two-year streaming commitment.
