NMIXX made an appearance on the YouTube channel, “The KStar Next Door 4,”hosted by Congolese YouTuber Jonathan Yiombi, on Aug. 20.
MC Jonathan discussed each member’s strengths in different categories, such as singing, dancing, visuals, and entertainment skills on this day. He also posed challenging questions to them regarding these aspects.
At that moment, he brought up Sullyoon’s appearance and playfully taunted her, saying:
“Sullyoon, you pretended to be down to earth but you kept asking your fans if you were pretty.”
Nevertheless, the idol responded calmly:
“I think that shows my desire to be approved. I’m curious now.”
Sullyoon, who is frequently praised for both her looks and singing ability, was then questioned by the host about which aspect she would prefer to be recognized for first. The idol confidently chose her singing without any hesitation.
Instead of giving him the expected response, MC Jonathan suddenly diverted the conversation to the current visual triangle between Sullyoon, Karina, and Jang Wonyong.
He provided an explanation:
“Nowadays, people say JANGKASULL. It’s a neologism. Jang Wonyoung, Karina, and Sullyoon. Have you heard about it before?”
The three 4th-generation idols have gained praise for their exceptional appearances, fanbase, talents, and other criteria. Discussions among fans and online users have been ongoing regarding which of them should claim the top spot.
Insinuating that she knew about it, MC Jonathan attempted to incite Sullyoon by proposing that she assess her own ranking among the top three. He inquired:
“Your name comes at the end. What do you prefer, do you prefer SULLJANGKA or SULLKAJANG? What’s better?”
Despite being faced with a challenging question, the other members of NMIXX were taken aback and playfully teased him for asking it. However, Sullyoon remained calm and collected, and even “fought back”in response.
“What do you think (is the better name), Nathan?”
Despite feeling uncomfortable with the question, MC Jonathan resorted to humorously turning to the crew in an attempt to avoid the situation.
“Wow…Hey! Are you seriously calling this a script? Hey, what kind of question is that? Fix it. If you do this, I refuse to be the host.”
Sullyoon’s lack of leniency elicited laughter.
“Then do we get to be the new hosts?”
At the same time, NMIXX unveiled their third mini-album, “Fe3O4: STICK OUT,”on August 19th.
The newly released album includes six tracks in total: the title track “See that?,””SICKUHH”(Feat. Kid Milli), “Red light sign, but we go,””BEAT BEAT,””Moving On,”and “Love is Lonely.”
Upon its debut, the album quickly rose in multiple domestic music charts, prompting experts in the field to state:
“Compared to other 4th-generation girl groups, their growth rate may seem slow, but the fact that they are gradually building awareness based on solid skills will be a strength that can sustain the team’s vitality.
If they advance to the global stage like their senior groups TWICE and ITZY, we expect them to show an even greater range of growth than they have now.”
