Fire Erupts on Set of “East Palace”in Yeoncheon County

In the early hours of December 21, a significant fire broke out on a drama set located in Misan-myeon, within Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province. Authorities reported that the blaze began around 2:08 a.m. and was brought under control approximately two hours later.

Despite the swift response, the incident resulted in considerable damage. A structure covering 3,655 square meters, used for the filming, was completely engulfed in flames, along with valuable lighting equipment stored on the premises.

In a statement to OSEN, the production team expressed relief that no injuries were reported. They confirmed that they are collaborating closely with fire officials, law enforcement, and the production company to investigate the cause of the fire and to manage the aftermath effectively.
