No Longer Allowed in Another World is an anime adaptation of Hiroshi Noda’s Isekai fantasy manga series. The story revolves around Osamu Dazai, known as Sensei, a literary prodigy who desires death more than anything else.
On a fateful day, he makes the decision to end his life by drowning in a treacherous river, along with his beloved Sacchan. Unfortunately, their plan is interrupted when a truck unexpectedly strikes them, disrupting Sensei’s intentions.
Despite being transported to another world called Zauberberg, Osamu Dazai’s melancholic personality and desire to find ways to die remain unchanged. He discovers that he has been summoned as a hero to defeat the darkness in a foreign land, but even in this unfamiliar place, his longing for death persists.
However, he comes to the realization that no matter how much he attempts to end his life, death is not an option for him. This sets the stage for an atypical Isekai tale, in which the main character defies common tropes and stands out as an original figure.
