While the details of Nobara’s return remain undisclosed, the bizarre nature of the situation has sparked speculation among many fans about the possibility of Gojo also making a comeback.
The release of the Jujutsu Kaisen MV, Avant by Eve, on YouTube in November 2023, has provided a significant boost to these theories. The MV’s imagery hinted at Nobara’s connection to Sukuna, and this was eventually confirmed in the manga almost a year later.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Role of Rika in Bringing Back Gojo
The release of the Avant MV on November 23, 2023 has sparked a variety of theories about the return and revival of Jujutsu Kaisen. This occurred during the ongoing Kenjaku vs. Takaba storyline. While many elements in the MV paid homage to Eve’s past music videos, the inclusion of scenes featuring a single finger and nails prompted speculation about Nobara’s potential return.
In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 267, Nobara’s return saw her utilizing her technique on the last remaining Sukuna finger in the possession of the sorcerers. Additionally, the Jujutsu Kaisen “Avant”MV featured a scene of someone punching through Sukuna’s domain, foreshadowing Yuji’s use of his soul-shaking punches to weaken Sukuna and ultimately defeat him, as seen in the current state of the manga.
Some of the imagery may not have a direct connection to existing theories, but certain symbols like the Panda, Yuta’s ring, and the “eye”that emerges from the ring have been incorporated into a theory.
Gojo’s Six Eyes are a distinctive concept that was introduced in the manga, known to be a natural occurrence that manifests whenever a Gojo clan member is in danger while Tengen is present.
The Six Eyes are an integral aspect of Gojo’s being and hold immense power and significance. The speculation among fans about Gojo sacrificing one of his eyes to come back to life has been circulating since his demise in chapter 235. As a result, numerous depictions and illustrations of Gojo show him with one eye closed, leading many to believe that Gege has been hinting at his eventual return for quite some time.
The music video for Eve showed a pair of “eyes”being cut in half, followed by a scene of one eye being stained. This further supported the idea that Gojo would come back after sacrificing his Six Eyes.
Despite some fans’ arguments that the overall imagery does not foreshadow Gojo’s revival, the presence of Panda surrounded by a ritualistic fire and Gakuganji’s knowledge of creating cursed corpses implies that he could be attempting to bring Gojo back as a cursed doll.
Despite the unlikelihood of Gakuganji taking this action, the appearance of a solitary panel in chapter 262 showing Rika cradling Yuta’s lifeless and “empty”form suggests that she may have a crucial part to play in Gojo’s eventual return. The multiple depictions of hands forming a ring and later enveloping Rika’s manifestation in the MV symbolize the deep bond between Yuta and Rika and their profound love for one another.
It is possible for Rika to utilize the remainder of her cursed energy pool to heal and “revive”Yuta’s lifeless body.
The specifics of how Yuta transferred into Gojo’s body and the condition of Gojo’s brain remain undisclosed. However, it is highly likely that Gojo’s brain now resides within Yuta’s body.
Rika could potentially utilize her nearly boundless cursed energy reserves to revive and mend Yuta’s body, housing Gojo’s brain, and ultimately restore Gojo’s consciousness within Yuta’s vacant vessel.
This would also resolve the potential plot point of Rika becoming more involved in the battle, as suggested in chapter 262 when she fully manifested while holding Yuta’s body. Interestingly, Yuta’s hollow body was also shown with blood dripping down from one of his eyes.
