Nobara’s Return is Looming in Jujutsu Kaisen and Chapter 259 Spoilers Prove It

This week, the spoilers and raw scans for the upcoming official release of Jujutsu Kaisen were leaked, giving fans an early glimpse at chapter 259. This early look was met with great appreciation from fans, as the issue is filled with excitement and revelations. It includes a shocking death of a beloved character and also reveals important information about Sukuna’s flame Cursed Technique, for which fans are grateful.

Nevertheless, the most notable moment was definitely the reappearance of Aoi Todo, a beloved character from Jujutsu Kaisen who had been absent since the Shibuya Incident arc. This absence was not unexpected, as he had lost his Cursed Technique during that arc, making it challenging for him to play a significant role in any subsequent events.

Similarly, the return of his Boogie Woogie Cursed Technique in chapter 259 has caused a lot of excitement among fans. However, there are some who were disappointed by Todo’s return while Kugisaki Nobara’s status remains unknown. Ironically, the evidence for Nobara’s return in the upcoming official release of Jujutsu Kaisen is the strongest so far.

Nobara’s Potential Return in Jujutsu Kaisen Heightened by Todo’s Reappearance

One of the main factors indicating that Nobara may return in Jujutsu Kaisen is the conversation between Aoi Todo and Mei Mei during chapter 259. As they discuss their plan to bring Nobara back into battle and coordinate with each other as a backup, Todo mentions “resonance”as the reason for keeping this plan a secret from Yuji. This is due to Todo’s fear that revealing the plan to Yuji could give Sukuna the opportunity to uncover their contingency plan.

It is particularly intriguing that the term “resonance”is utilized here, as it is the same word used to describe Nobara’s innate Cursed Technique. This usage appears to be more than just a mere coincidence, as Todo goes on to describe the bond between Yuji and Sukuna’s souls using this word. He emphasizes that their connection remains strong due to their long history of sharing one body.

Although the references are already too obvious to be mere coincidences, the topic of conversation between Todo and Mei Mei also clearly hints at the necessity of Nobara’s return. It is likely that her return will break the connection between Yuji and Sukuna, revealing whatever other plans are currently being kept from him to both Yuji and the reader.

In addition, Nobara’s role is crucial in the plan to remove Sukuna from Megumi’s body. Her ability to directly attack his soul significantly weakens his sorcery and hinders his effectiveness in performing it. This has been demonstrated in the Shinjuku arc through Yuji’s impact on Sukuna, as well as in previous instances in Jujutsu Kaisen when Nobara has successfully attacked Mahito.

Further adding to the evidence of Nobara’s upcoming comeback is the strong connection between her and Todo, both of whom were believed to have exited the story after the Shibuya arc. The manga’s frequent incorporation of cyclical themes in its various plotlines also supports this notion. Significantly, Todo sustained an injury after Nobara in Shibuya and is now the first to reappear in Shinjuku, effectively reversing the cycle in which fans last saw the duo.

Despite being speculative at the time of writing, this serves as compelling evidence for the realization of a storyline that fans have eagerly anticipated. It is hoped that Nobara will make her comeback during the Shinjuku arc, ideally sooner rather than later considering the current state of the battle.
