Not Gojo but Yuta’s ace weapon against Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen could have been Kinji Hakari’s Cursed Technique

On June 10, 2024, chapter 262 of Jujutsu Kaisen was published, further depicting the intense battle between Gojo (Yuta) and Sukuna. However, Sukuna proved to be superior as Yuta struggled to effectively employ Gojo’s cursed technique, leaving fans to ponder the outcome if Yuta had access to Hakari’s cursed technique.

Despite Yuta appearing to have the advantage in battle throughout the chapter, the King of Curses ultimately proved to be superior due to the tactic he had acquired to defeat Sukuna. In the final moments of the chapter, Rika successfully manifested and would potentially join the ongoing fight.

Despite the expected wrap-up time of 3 minutes for the battle and the eventual wear-off of Gojo’s domain expansion, the current situation did not align with Yuta’s prediction. However, if Yuta had utilized Hakari Kinji Hakari’s cursed technique, he could have potentially gained invincibility for a limited period and possibly turned the battle in his favor.

Exploring the situation if Yuta had copied Hakari’s cursed technique in Jujutsu Kaisen

The title of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 was The Decisive Battle in the Uninhabited, Demon-Infested Shinjuku 34. The chapter opened with Gojo (Yuta) and Sukuna utilizing their domain expansions.

During the first round of the battle of the strongest, Yuta utilized a shrunken Infinite Void to counter Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine. However, due to Gojo’s domain ending in three minutes, Yuta had to wrap things up quickly. In an attempt to weaken Sukuna, Yuta used Purple to strike the King of Curses, but he was overpowered and punched in the face. Meanwhile, outside of the domain, Rika’s full body appeared and she wept while holding Yuta’s lifeless body.

It was odd that Yuta had already intended to transfer his soul into Gojo, as if it was the final resort for the cursed sorcerers. However, there may have been a more optimal and superior solution than a soul transfer, such as Yuta replicating Kinji Hakari’s cursed technique.

Kinji Hakari, a former student at Jujutsu High School who was suspended, now leads a fighting club. Despite his suspension, Hakari is considered one of the most powerful sorcerers and is often compared to Gojo Satoru, thanks to his exceptional cursed technique and domain expansion.

The cursed technique wielded by Hakari is known as the Private Pure Love Train. This pachinko game draws inspiration from a romance manga series featured in Jujutsu Kaisen. Although it is primarily utilized within his domain expansion, Idle Death Gamble, it can also be triggered outside of the domain.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this cursed technique is its ability to activate Kinji’s unkillable mode, also known as the ‘Hakari Dance,’ upon hitting a jackpot. This mode, lasting 4 minutes and 11 seconds, grants Hakari the bonus of unlimited use of his cursed technique (pun not intended).

Instead of desecrating Gojo Satoru’s deceased body and using it as a vessel to battle the King of Curses, Yuta could have simply replicated Hakari’s cursed technique with his own.

Final thoughts

Despite the fact that Hakari’s cursed technique allows for the unkillable move to be performed, it still requires the use of the technique in order to be executed. Therefore, there is a possibility that Yuta could have accomplished this feat if he had chosen to use the cursed technique.

It is possible that Gege Akutami may have had a reason for returning Gojo’s body, so this article should be viewed as mere speculation about a past event. Further explanations may be revealed in the upcoming chapter, set to be released on July 7, 2024.
