The Nothing Phone 2a Plus has finally arrived in the US, priced at $399. It can be purchased through Nothing’s Beta Program.
Despite the recent release of its budget Android phone, the Nothing Phone 2a, Nothing has already introduced a refresh. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus boasts an upgraded chipset, quicker charging capabilities, and an enhanced selfie camera.
Despite the numerous updates, the cost of the 2a Plus has increased to $399, making it $50 pricier than the Nothing 2a. It can now be bought in global markets such as the US and the UK.
Nevertheless, if shoppers in the US wish to obtain the device, they will need to enroll in Nothing’s Beta Program, patiently await the arrival of the limited stock, and then proceed to click on the buy now button.
The Beta Program has been used to sell the company’s devices before. All previous Nothing phones that were released in the US were made available through this approach.
The beta program shares similarities with OnePlus’s Invite system, which was previously implemented by Nothing founder Carl Pei in his previous company. This system serves the purpose of controlling inventory in new regions and sustaining excitement for the devices.
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus in the US is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro 5G processor, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of onboard storage. It boasts a 50MP front-facing camera and a dual rear camera setup with two 50MP sensors.
The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and supports 50W fast wired charging. It comes with Android 14 pre-installed and maintains its distinctive Glyph interface, similar to the Nothing Phone 2a.
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus will only offer limited 5G support in the US, as it is not fully compatible with all networks. This means that users on AT&T and Verizon networks will only have access to 4G, while T-Mobile users will have limited 5G connectivity.
In the UK, however, the phone costs £399 and can be purchased both online and offline. The availability in other areas has not yet been disclosed.
