Nozel Silva’s Latest Spell and Its Consequences in Black Clover Chapter 373
Despite its effectiveness in fighting against his mother Paladin Acier Silva, Nozel Silva’s Mercury Magic: Silver Guardian spell proved to be a double-edged sword. As the chapter progressed, it was revealed that the Silver Guardian was not a new magic spell for Nozel, but rather one he rarely used due to his preference for an ever-changing fighting style.
Nonetheless, this could have been more than just a personal choice; it could have been a choice he was compelled to make. As seen in his battle against Acier Silva, although the Silver Guardian spell provided him with a powerful boost to keep his mother occupied, it also caused harm to him.
Similarly, Nozel’s Mercury Magic, like the element itself, was toxic and could cause significant harm to the user. This meant that while he was buying time for his siblings, he was also subjecting himself to the poison of his own magic, causing him great agony in the process.
Fans are greatly concerned about this development. Although the manga chapter did not explicitly state that Nozel’s life was in danger after he deactivated the magic spell, it was hinted at through his darkened eyelids. Following the fight, Nozel was seen lying weak and heavily injured on a roof, with his siblings surrounding him.
Hence, it is highly likely that if Nozel Silva is not rescued in time by a Magic Knight with Healing Magic, such as Mimosa Vermillion, his battle against his mother may mark the end of his journey in the manga. Despite the character’s current struggle, fans remain hopeful. They are convinced that even if Nozel Silva were to be incapacitated in the battle, he would make a comeback upon witnessing Fuegeleon Vermillion’s utilization of Spirit Dive with his Fire Spirit Salamander. This is due to the fact that both Magic Knight Captains had a rivalry and were vying for the coveted position of Wizard King.
