Nozel’s new spell in Black Clover chapter 373 has fans comparing him with the Silver Surfer

With the debut of Black Clover chapter 373, readers were introduced to Silver Eagles Captain Nozel Silva’s most recent magical ability – Mercury Magic: Silver Guardian. When confronted by his mother Acier Silva, Nozel realized that the only means to defeat the Paladin was to utilize Noelle’s dormant magic and harness the power of Leviathan. Therefore, he instructed his siblings to prepare a formidable spell while he kept his mother occupied.

In order to achieve this, he utilized his defensive spell Mercury Magic: Silver Guardian. Although the strategy proved to be effective and the Silva siblings emerged victorious against their mother, the attention of the fans in the chapter was mainly centered around Nozel’s latest spell as they drew comparisons to the Marvel Comics character Silver Surfer.

Why are fans comparing Nozel Silva from Black Clover to Silver Surfer?

As viewers witnessed in chapter 373, Nozel Silva’s Mercury Magic: Silver Guardian caused his entire body to be enveloped in silver. This transformation gave him a striking resemblance to the iconic Marvel Comics character, Silver Surfer.

The main contrasts between the two were that Nozel Silva had hair and did not possess a board to glide on while casting his magic. In contrast, Silver Surfer was bald and utilized a craft resembling a surfboard.

Despite this, Nozel Silva has demonstrated the ability to create a silver board and use it to move through the battlefield. This has been depicted multiple times in the anime, with fans even drawing comparisons to Silver Surfer from the early days. However, when fans were eagerly anticipating Nozel to use this same technique, he instead opted to fly across the battlefield.

How Fans Reacted to Nozel Silva’s New Spell

Nozel Silva’s latest magic spell in Black Clover delighted fans so much that one fan went as far as designing a potential manga cover for volume 37 of the series, featuring the Silver Eagles Captain.

“Nozel turned into the silver surfer. ima need to see this form in action again before black clover ends,”one fan said.

“NOZEL AS SILVER SURFER! THIS SPREAD IS TOO GOOD,”another fan said.

However, despite the events of the chapter, fans were dissatisfied with the short appearance of the form. They voiced their desire to see Nozel use the spell once more before the manga concludes.

One more fan shared their admiration for the double spread, praising manga creator Yuki Tabata’s artwork featured in it.

“Nozel turned into the Silver Surfer. Where’s your board?,”another added.

“There’s no way we don’t get Spirit Dive/Saint Stage Fuegoleon after getting silver surfer Nozel,”other fan said.

On the other hand, many fans were particularly focused on Nozel Silva’s striking resemblance to Silver Surfer. They expressed their desire for him to have the iconic board to complete the look of the hero.

Similarly, other fans began to theorize about what could happen next. They firmly believed that the manga would not introduce Silver Surfer Nozel without also revealing Spirit Dive/Saint Stage Fuegoleon. Therefore, they anticipated that a new form for Fuegoleon would be unveiled in the near future.
