NPC Miles Morales ‘Retires’ to Stream More Regularly with Support from Kai Cenat

Malik Ambersely, widely recognized as NPC Miles Morales, has announced his decision to retire from the NPC streaming persona. This change comes after receiving guidance and encouragement from popular streamer Kai Cenat. Ambersely aims to focus more on his authentic self while still occasionally performing as his beloved character.

Malik Ambersely’s Shift from NPC to Self-Identity

The rise of NPC streams captivated audiences in the latter half of 2023, originating on TikTok, where streamers engaged viewers by responding solely to donations and gifts. This unique format quickly gained traction, leading many performers to enjoy significant popularity, none more so than Ambersely, who has portrayed the Spider-Man character across various social media platforms.

Ambersely gained notable attention for his involvement in Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 event, where he executed the NPC routine while Cenat rested each night, further enhancing his visibility and connection with fans. However, after this stint, Ambersely expressed a desire to retire the character full-time in favor of embracing his identity.

Focusing on Authenticity After NPC Fame

In a heartfelt announcement during a Twitch stream, he conveyed his future intentions: “You’re not doing NPC anymore? No, I think I would rather want to be known as me. I’ll still do the characters every now and then, but as for the NPC thing, standing outside, I don’t think so. I think at some point, I need to branch out.”

Ambersely also shared his admiration for Kai Cenat, highlighting how Cenat’s supportive attitude has motivated him to explore new avenues within streaming. “The thing I like though, Kai is not a f*cking hater. He encourages people to find their own paths in content creation,” Ambersely remarked. “He told me, bro, don’t stop, stream. I want to but this is a different version of streaming for me. I’m getting to know myself outside the character, so it’s different. But, I’m gonna do it.”

Currently, Ambersely is carving his niche on Twitch, with a following of over 62,000 and aiming for 2,500 subscribers. While he has a way to go to match Cenat’s success, his creativity and established presence on social media indicate a promising future in individual content creation.
