Backpack Brawl Shared Items Tier Listing

To start off, here’s the tier list for all shared items in Backpack Brawl. Please keep in mind that this tier list is still a work in progress. There are numerous items we have yet to evaluate fully, and we’ll aim to add those once we’ve assessed them.

Furthermore, the ranking for each item is impacted by a variety of factors, which we’ve detailed below. An item rated C tier can be elevated to B or even A tier through careful building and appropriate utilization. Ultimately, it hinges on the type of build you’re developing. For additional insights on this, continue reading.

Criteria for Ranking

  • Overall utility: An item’s effectiveness heavily depends on its raw statistics and effects. For instance, during the early game phase, it’s often wiser to bypass components in favor of strong base items.
  • Build compatibility: Certain items are universally effective regardless of the build you’re pursuing. Examples include Gold Bar, Spice, Pitahaya, Stone Golem, Steel Bar, Lucky Clover, Stamina Sack, and Gothic Shield.
  • Potential recipes: Some lesser items can be fused into something superior, resulting in a rank increase. However, do not jeopardize wins merely to acquire these items, as some powerful items like the Stone Golem require a minimum of two rounds for crafting, and you need at least six Rocks in your inventory.
  • Shape, size, & buff pattern: An effect being overpowered doesn’t necessarily imply the item itself is as well. The item’s shape, size, and buff pattern are crucial in determining whether it benefits or detracts from your current build.
  • Cost: The cost of items holds significant weight in Backpack Brawl. For example, while the Frost Cleaver is an exceptional item, it demands 17 gold. This means your opponent may easily counter it with items of lesser value.
  • Upgrades: Upgrades become relevant later in your progression. Nevertheless, early-game items like the Dagger can prove highly beneficial with just a few enhancements.

Backpack Brawl Hero Items Tier List

Hero-specific items in Backpack Brawl tend to be superior to shared items. However, they are typically tailored for particular builds, leading to limited versatility. Nonetheless, we have ranked them based on their overall utility for each hero, considering the criteria mentioned above.

Similar to the previously mentioned shared item tier list, this one too is a work in progress. Currently, it features all items you’ll come across up to the mid-point of your journey. We’ll make it a priority to rigorously test the remaining items and builds and update the list accordingly.

Strategies for Creating the Best Builds in Backpack Brawl

Tips for Building in Backpack Brawl

  1. Prioritize applying a maximum of two debuffs: The best debuffs in Backpack Brawl are Blind, Chill, and Burn, in that order. Ideally, stack two but even one is often sufficient. Anything beyond that tends to be unnecessary.
  2. Ensure you have at least one HP regen source: All sources of healing are beneficial except the Regeneration buff. In my experience, direct HP regen from food tends to outperform lifesteal since it cannot be removed by your opponent.
  3. Compile crucial buffs: Haste, Luck, and Empower rank among the top buffs in the game. If you possess items that require it, Mana is also a valuable addition.
  4. Avoid wasting stamina on ineffective weapons: Applying two stacks of bleed with a sword every three seconds won’t be advantageous. Sell inefficient weapons and reinvest the gold into items that help you bolster your best buffs and debuffs.
  5. Strategically place items for effective triggering: The speed at which effects trigger is critical when positioning items. Often, it’s advantageous to sell items that occupy invaluable space needed for maximizing your best items.
  6. Acquire gold-generating items as soon as possible: Items like Bronze Bars, Gold Bars, and others that can generate additional resources are essential for maintaining a solid economy. Stacking Lucky Clovers can also enhance shop offerings.
  7. Be willing to quickly exchange items: Lastly, don’t hesitate to swap out items you no longer require. Holding onto unnecessary items is significantly more detrimental than overspending on genuinely useful ones.

In conclusion, the key to improvement is experimentation. The tier list and the advice we’ve provided serve to guide you in a fruitful direction.
