On October 6, 2024, the official website and social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), released a video confirming the production of Mission: Yozakura Family season 2. This announcement coincided with the airing of the anime’s 27th and final episode.

The promotional video opens with Mutsumi Yozakura ready to confront her father, Momo Yozakura, who eagerly anticipates family reunions. It artfully integrates iconic panels from Gondaira’s manga, teasing elements of the plot for the upcoming season. The narrative seemingly will delve into the complexities of familial relationships, presenting challenges that test the Yozakura family bonds. The video concludes with Momo Yozakura inviting Taiyo Asano into the family fold. While the announcement of the sequel is thrilling, it does not provide a release date.
