One Piece Volume 110’s Cover Features the Ominous Five Elders Amidst Luffy, Dorry, and Brogy
As the release date of One Piece Volume 110 approaches, the franchise’s official channels have shared insights into the cover design. A video posted on X illustrates the creative process, showcasing Eiichiro Oda’s initial concepts, which included sketches of Vegapunk and the Iron Giant Emet, along with various designs for the Five Elders, specifically Saint V. Nusjuro.
The finalized cover artwork features prominent rectangular images of some of the Five Elders presented in their human forms. Positioned at the sides are Saint Shepherd Ju Peter and Saint Marcus Mars, with Saint V. Nusjuro and Saint Topman Warcury taking center stage.
Centrally placed above the menacing Elders are Monkey D. Luffy and Jewelry Bonney, joyfully accompanied by Dorry and Brogy. Bonney appears in her true form as a child of 12, with Luffy protectively positioned behind her as an older brother figure. Dorry and Brogy flank them, displaying their weapons.
Dominating the scene is Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, appearing larger-than-life and seemingly ready to engulf Luffy, Bonney, and the Giants. Unlike his counterparts, Saturn is illustrated in his Yokai-inspired form.
Saturn embodies a blend of human traits and the Gyuki, or Ushi-oni, a fearsome mythical being characterized by purple skin, dark purple, spider-like legs, and imposing brown horns. He is also adorned with orange and crimson flames that emit from his back, coupled with a striking, large white beard.
The background of the cover radiates a vibrant orange, which makes the pale pink text of the franchise’s name stand out brilliantly.
Alongside showcasing Saturn’s Ushi-oni form, Eiichiro Oda has unveiled the official color representations for the other Gorosei transformations. Saint Nusjuro’s Bakotsu is a fiery skeletal horse, featuring a white body topped with a pink head and a wild, red mane. Saint Warcury’s Yokai, known as Fengxi, is depicted as a gigantic aqua-green boar adorned with four large pink tusks.
Saint Mars converts into the Itsumade, a multi-colored bird-like entity with a serpent-like body, vast wings, and a colossal curved beak filled with sharp teeth, resembling an intimidating oversized toucan. Finally, Saint Ju Peter’s Sandworm diverges from the Yokai theme of the others, crafted with a red upper body complementing a dark purple lower body.
All the Elders, including Saturn, are enveloped in wisps of black steam, a characteristic effect reminiscent of Awakened Zoan users.
