Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator and illustrator of the Hunter x Hunter series, turns 57 on April 27, 2023, and admirers of all of his works wish him a happy birthday. But the aforementioned series’ fandom is particularly active, largely because of its quick but enjoyable comeback a few months earlier.
While celebrating Togashi’s birthday and sending him their best wishes, Hunter x Hunter fans are also calling for the show to eventually return. Even though Togashi has repeatedly stated that he fully intends to finish the series, the previously discussed temporary return has nevertheless increased fans’ desire for its return.
Fans of Hunter x Hunter combine birthday wishes for Togashi, 57, with requests for the revival of the show.
57 years ago today, on April 27, 1966, in Shinjo Yamagata, Japan, one of the GREATEST writers was born.

Yoshihiro Togashi, the author and illustrator of Hunter x Hunter, will turn 57 on April 27, 2023, as was previously reported. One of the most admired and revered figures in the manga industry is the renowned mangaka, who is particularly well-known for his Yu Yu Hakusho series. Regrettably, Togashi has been prevented from publishing new chapters on a regular basis for several years due to spinal health problems.
The series recently made a return for a 10-chapter run, but it only managed to whet readers’ appetites rather than completely sate their craving for fresh issues. The topic of these ten chapters, which concentrated on the Phantom Troupe’s beginnings in Meteor City, played a significant role in this. Each member was depicted at their younger, formative years at the time the group was first formed, along with a few new pals.
Happy Birthday, Togashi. Your series and manga has truly changed peoples lives :]

Many Hunter x Hunter fans were especially disappointed to see that Togashi was still working on new chapters as demonstrated by updates on his personal Twitter account. Fans, however, are immensely sympathetic to Togashi’s health problems, which are crippling in all aspects of daily life.
Togashi previously opened up to his admirers about some of his daily problems, such as the need to lie down in the shower and difficulty using the restroom. Similarly, due to his health concerns, he must sit in a position that is essentially belly-up when drawing manuscripts. He yet continues because he cares for and respects the series’ followers.
Need Togashi return part 2 cause I cannot sit through that while I'm wasting… maybe I should get my vol 33

Thankfully, fans’ requests for the revival of Hunter x Hunter are very polite and unquestionably secondary to wishing Togashi a happy birthday. Those who include both in one post prioritize Togashi’s birthday greetings. Additionally, they express their understanding of his health issues and how they affect the production schedules.
This sentiment is also very widespread, at least among people who are ready to post and discuss their opinions on social media platforms like Twitter. While some may at first find it impolite to bother a mangaka on their birthday with requests for a series return, those doing so are acting in the most polite way imaginable.
As 2023 advances, be sure to stay up to date on all Hunter x Hunter manga news as well as any other anime, manga, films, and live-action productions.
