Once Human has made a huge impact in the world of open-world survival games, currently boasting over 230,000 peak concurrent players on Steam. The developer has now announced that several significant new features will be introduced in a September update.
After nearly two weeks since its initial release, Once Human’s developer, Starry Studio, has released a press release expressing gratitude to the community for their support and announcing a significant update in the near future.
This update will introduce new PvE and PvP gameplay features, providing players with a wider range of options for playing. One of these features is a PvP scenario that will involve the two main factions in the game, the Mayflies and Rosetta, directly competing against each other.
Once Human has gone from strength to strength
The upcoming PvE scenario is shrouded in mystery, but it is expected to bring about significant changes. Set in a previously unexplored mountainous area of the map, players can look forward to facing new monsters and overcoming fresh challenges.
Although the developer has not announced a specific release date, all of the updates are expected to be released in September. Starry Studio has been consistently releasing patches and hotfixes since its initial release in order to enhance the overall player experience.
Despite some initial concerns, the game has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community for its gameplay and fair treatment of players without any pay-to-win elements. The developer also garnered a strong reputation in the early stages of Once Human by publicly exposing and condemning cheaters on the internet.
Currently, Once Human holds the fifth spot on Steam’s list of most-played games and ranks at number seven in the best sellers category. As of now, the game is exclusively available on PC. However, the developer has stated that they will potentially release it on consoles in the future, depending on the continued positive feedback from players.
