Once human players voice their demand for easier ways to play with friends due to concerns about losing progress and server issues, developers may take action.
Despite some in-game bugs reported by users, Once Human maintains its position as one of the most popular looter-shooter games of 2024. The game’s steady player count shows no signs of declining in the near future.
Despite being a multiplayer game, players have struggled to connect with their friends, leading some to refer to the process as a “terrible experience.”
On Reddit, gamers have been discussing the difficulties they face in trying to play Once Human with their friends. They have pointed out the inconvenience of having to switch servers multiple times in order to gather everyone in one game, resulting in having to recreate their characters up to four times.
Trying to play with friends is a horrible experience byu/Mediocre-Natural-259 inOnceHumanOfficial
“According to one frustrated player, one of the most crucial aspects for a new game is providing an enjoyable experience for players to share with their friends. This is key for a game to remain relevant and attract a larger player base.”
Another player from Once Human also shared their thoughts in the same thread, stating, “My friends and I mostly play individually and it’s not as fun. We’re really enjoying the game, but there isn’t much incentive to explore the open world together.”
We are currently engaged in conversation on Discord; however, we are not participating in cooperative gameplay. We are focusing on monoliths, silos, and similar activities.
The act of server-jumping is especially exasperating for players, as they lose all their progress every time they switch to a different server.
Hence, individuals who wish to join forces with their companions are aware that all of their achievements and the time they have invested in their gameplay will be completely erased.

Players have suggested that the developers implement a “shared quests”feature in order to promote playing with friends.
Currently, Starry Studio has not addressed the backlash regarding limited access. However, Once Human has plans to include the ability for players to join servers with their friends. We will continue to provide updates on any potential changes.
