One Jujutsu Kaisen Fight: A Potential Movie After Season 3

Jujutsu Kaisen has thus far only produced one movie, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the franchise’s second big screen installment, which is expected to feature an epic battle.

Despite the anticipation for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, updates have been infrequent and it is unlikely that this will change in the near future. This is not surprising considering that there was a two-year gap between the previous two seasons.

However, MAPPA’s involvement ensured top-notch quality and solidified Jujutsu Kaisen’s reputation as one of the best currently available anime.

As anticipation builds for the Culling Game adaptation, fans are speculating about what should follow. It seems that a general agreement is emerging for a new movie to be made.

In a discussion on Reddit about how Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen should end, one user suggests that it would be funny if the finale featured Gojo challenging Sukuna, only for the fight to be resolved within a few episodes in the following season. This idea leads to suggestions that the battle should be turned into a full-length movie instead.

“One response suggests, ‘Gojo vs Sukuna should definitely be made into a movie.’ This sentiment is echoed by a second person who adds, ‘Mappa should include additional scenes in the movie adaptation of Gojo vs Sukuna.’”

A third person chimes in, saying, “I never even realized I wanted a movie until you mentioned it. Gojo vs Sukuna would definitely showcase the best animation.”However, there are some who disagree with the idea, as it could potentially disrupt the flow of the story.

While many fans see the showdown between Gojo and Sukuna as an epic battle, some argue that it lacks significant plot development. One commenter expresses their belief that it would not translate well into a movie format. Another commenter points out that it would be unsatisfying for viewers to end a movie with Gojo’s death, especially for those who have not read the manga and would have to wait a long time to see the outcome.

There are valid arguments for both sides. Overall, creating an anime movie after Season 3 would be a strategic decision. Similar to Demon Slayer’s approach after Season 1, the Infinity Castle movie trilogy was released after four seasons.

Despite being a contemporary in scale and fandom, Jujutsu Kaisen has only released one feature film, with the addition of a prequel. In comparison, My Hero Academia is about to have a total of four feature films with the upcoming release of You’re Next.

With the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen approaching, opting for a theatrical release is a surefire way to make a grand exit.
