One of Elden Ring’s toughest Shadow of the Erdtree bosses beaten with a Saxophone

DrDeComposing, the popular Twitch streamer, has managed to defeat one of the most difficult DLC bosses in Elden Ring using an electric saxophone.

Nestled in the Shadow Keep, Messmer the Impaler has proven to be a major obstacle for Tarnished in their quest to defeat the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree. This challenge remains whether using a traditional gamepad or mouse and keyboard controls.

DrDecomposing faced an additional difficulty with the use of unconventional controllers, but still succeeded in defeating Messmer after less than 10 attempts using their sax. Their winning try was a close one, and they were overcome with joy when they finally achieved it.

“With excitement, they exclaimed, “Let’s go! Only a few more tries left, baby. Are we almost there? Less than 10 tries?”Together, they landed the final hit on the Shadow Keep’s warden.”

Incredibly, DrDeComposing has also successfully defeated the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree using the same method. In a tweet shared on Twitter/X, the creator announced, “I am ecstatic after conquering the Elden Ring DLC’s last boss in just a dozen tries – all while playing an electric saxophone. I will be sharing the unedited video on Monday.”

The Elden Ring community has been heavily discussing the final boss, Promised Consort Radahn, also known as the Shadow of the Erdtree. Many players have expressed dissatisfaction with the finale, labeling it as “unfun”. In particular, the second phase of the encounter has been criticized for having excessive visual clutter, making it difficult for players to understand.

Although DrDeComposing is not the pioneer Twitch streamer to utilize unconventional controllers for navigating the Land of Shadow, Perrikaryal achieved success in defeating the Divine Beast Dancing Lion by employing a combination of EEG and eye-movement tracking.

Alternatively, ensure that you have not overlooked any of the bosses encountered in Shadow of the Erdtree.
