The scene in One Piece where Bonney assumes Nika’s appearance is highly debated among fans, yet it is not as impactful as it may seem.

Despite the arrival of formidable foes such as Kizaru and Gorosei, the Straw Hats and their allies remain steadfast and hold their ground. Bonney, who had grown up hearing Nika’s story from Kuma, had always held onto the belief that he would eventually free her – a belief that proved to be true.
Luffy encourages her to embrace that form, as she envisions a future where she can truly be herself. However, there is a specific reason why this form does not grant her a power increase or elevate her to become one of the most formidable characters in One Piece.
How strong is Bonney after the Nika transformation?
Bonney’s Nika transformation does not provide her with any increase in power.
Bonney is limited to transforming solely with her Distorted Future ability. However, this ability does not grant her access to any of Luffy’s techniques. She is only able to stretch to a small extent and can only maintain this form for a brief period of time.
Despite her devil fruit only granting her the ability to envision the future, she is unable to fully harness its power. Interestingly, the story’s main theme revolves around transforming imagination into reality, a concept that is exemplified most prominently by Luffy.
Pappag, a starfish who believed in his ability to speak, is another example. Oda’s portrayal of him reflects the idea that with determination, anything can become a reality. Similarly, Bonney’s transformation serves as a symbolic expression of freedom, as she takes on the appearance of its embodiment.
Bonney’s ability to transform into Nika is a powerful representation of the long-standing desire for Nika’s return, which is embodied in Luffy’s devil fruit. This further solidifies the bond between Bonney and Luffy.
Despite this, her abilities remain unchanged except for the newfound ability to use Armament Haki. Boneny, currently only 12 years old, will undoubtedly continue to grow in strength. However, at this point in time, she has not gained any further abilities from her transformation.
