One Piece has kicked off a new storyline with its latest arc, but fans should note that the series will temporarily pause following Chapter 1130.
Titled the “Land of the Gods Arc,” this phase marks the second segment of the Final Saga in One Piece. In this arc, readers are introduced to a new adversary, known as the “Sun God,” who rules over the Land of the Gods. However, Chapter 1129 unveils that this enigmatic figure is actually a pirate named Road, who serves as the navigator of the New Giant Pirates under the leadership of Hajrudin.
Road parted ways with Hajrudin’s crew when the latter opted to join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. As the storyline unfolds, the One Piece manga announces a two-week break after Chapter 1130. This hiatus is quite brief compared to the anime’s hiatus, which is set to last until April 2025.

Following the announcement, a One Piece source disclosed in a subsequent update, “Oda plans to take a two-week break to refresh and develop new concepts for the manga.”
While many fans will undoubtedly miss the series during this time, they wholeheartedly support Oda’s choice, acknowledging the importance of rest for the creator. One enthusiast remarked, “The One Piece team can take whatever time is necessary in both the anime and manga to refine this work to brilliance.”
An additional supporter commented, “After delivering some of the best arcs in One Piece, including one of the finest in contemporary shonen, this break is justified. The Egghead Island saga was incredible, and I eagerly await what comes next.”
A third fan stated, “This brief hiatus is crucial for fostering creativity; I’m excited to see the innovative ideas and inspiration that will emerge from it!”
With the conclusion of the Egghead arc, fans can explore why it is regarded as the finest arc to date.
