One Piece Chapter 1117: Zoro and Nusjuro’s Surprising Similarity

The upcoming One Piece Chapter 1117 will showcase the most highly-anticipated battle, as it unveils a peculiar resemblance between Zoro and Nusjuro.

The Egghead Island Arc in One Piece is drawing to a close as Gorosei discovers the whereabouts of the transponder snail. However, Vegapunk continuously deceives them by concealing its location in order to prevent Gorosei from prematurely ending the broadcast.

Nevertheless, Chapter 1116 unveils that the Iron Giant is concealing the transponder snail and is currently making its way towards Gorsei. Caution: The following article contains spoilers for the upcoming One Piece Chapter 1117!

Despite the Gorosei’s plan to halt the broadcast and annihilate the Thousand Sunny, the forthcoming chapter of One Piece will showcase the long-awaited showdown between Zoro and Nusjuro. The series will not air for several weeks following Zoro’s battle with Jimbei.

In Chapter 1117, the impending shutdown of the frontier dome barrier prompts Nami’s group to prepare for their departure. As Nusjuro prepares to attack the crew’s ship, Zoro and Jimbei intervene, resulting in a fierce clash of swords that produces black lightning and fire.

Despite this, Zoro refers to Nusjuro’s blade as Kitetsu. As is common knowledge, Zoro has possessed a cursed sword since the Loguetown Arc, yet Kitetsu is the only one he has been able to retain for an extended period of time. It is believed that the curse of Kitetsu causes its wielder to meet their demise.

One fan expressed complete agreement that this is indeed a Kitetsu and that it will play a significant role in a future Zoro fight, stating on X/Twitter, while another fan concurred that Zoro will ultimately claim the sword from its current owner, Mihawk, in their final battle.

Despite a third person weighing in with the opinion “Honestly if Zoro can’t kill Kaido, what does it matter? The swords no longer hold any significance. They have not shown any impressive feats in battle.”

Despite the series not yet revealing much about the sword, it is evident that Oda has significant plans for Zoro once again. Zoro realizes that the energy emitted from Nusjuro’s sword matches that of his own Kitetsu blade. However, Nusjuro’s attempt to halt the crew’s escape ultimately proves unsuccessful.
