One Piece Chapter 1118’s First Spoilers Confirm Series’ Early July Release Schedule

Monday, June 17, 2024 marked the official release of the first spoilers for One Piece chapter 1118, revealing exciting news about the early July release schedule. According to @pewpiece (formerly known as Twitter user Pew), a reputable leaker for the series, there will be no scheduled break after the upcoming official release.

To clarify, One Piece chapter 1118 is scheduled to be released in Japan on Monday, June 24, 2024, followed by chapter 1119 on Monday, July 1. In the event of an emergency on Oda’s part, there is a possibility of a delay, but currently, there are no indications of a series hiatus after the release of chapter 1118.

The Break After One Piece Chapter 1119

Despite the smooth release of One Piece chapter 1118, fans may be disappointed to learn that there will most likely be a break week after the release of chapter 1119. Historically, Oda tends to take a planned week break after three consecutive chapter releases, which is exactly where the series is at. While there is no guarantee, it is highly likely that a break will occur after chapter 1119.

It can be expected that this week’s break after chapter 1119 will come at an opportune moment, marking the Straw Hats’ triumphant escape from Egghead Island. Chapter 1118 will mark the official start of the escape, with many already setting sail or preparing to do so. Chapters 1118 and 1119 will likely highlight the progress of Zoro, Jinbe, Luffy, Dorry, Brogy, and Sanji as they bring up the rear and make their way onto the two ships.

Although the Egghead arc may not be completely resolved in chapter 1119, readers can anticipate the Straw Hats’ role in the Egghead Incident to come to an end by the conclusion of this issue. The spotlight may shift to Egghead through the Gorosei, who may be depicted handling Vegapunk York or battling the Ancient Robot, also referred to as the Iron Giant, if it rises again.

The upcoming official release for author and illustrator Eiichiro Oda’s original manga series, One Piece, is chapter 1118. It first began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga publication in July 1997 and is currently ongoing with regular serialization. However, Oda has confirmed that the manga is in its Final Saga and his latest comments suggest that the series will come to an end within the next few years.

Toei Animation started creating a weekly television anime series in October 1999, which is currently ongoing and is also part of the Final Saga. A remake titled THE ONE PIECE is being produced by Netflix and Wit Studios.
