One Piece Chapter 1121’s Mystery Character: Imu’s Descendant, Not Shanks’ Twin

One Piece Chapter 1121’s Mystery Character: Imu’s Descendant, Not Shanks’ Twin

The highly anticipated One Piece chapter 1121 was made available on July 22, 2024, and it introduced a mysterious character that quickly became a hot topic among fans. Many speculated that this enigmatic figure could be Shanks’ long-lost twin or a formidable individual marked by flames, as Oda’s decision to introduce a new character in the final war hinted at their potential strength.

Despite the possibility of this enigmatic figure being a formidable being, there is also the possibility that they are not and could actually be a member of the Nerona family, the same family as the Supreme Leader of the World Government. This is supported by the silhouette of the character, which bears a resemblance to one of the individuals in the initial portrayal of the God Knights.

Please note: The following article may contain spoilers from the One Piece manga series and reflects the author’s personal opinions.

Why the identity of the mysterious person in One Piece chapter 1121 is not Shanks’ twin or the man marked by the flames

The final pages of One Piece chapter 1121 unveiled a new character, an old man holding a sword. Fans speculated that he could be Shanks’ twin due to their similar appearance, leading to theories about his potential involvement in Shanks’ meeting with the Gorosei without interference.

Despite having a similar appearance in his youth, Garling Fingerland, leader of the God Knights, has taken on the role of Shanks’ twin. Their opposing personalities make him a fitting candidate for this description, ultimately ruling him out as the mysterious man.

In addition, it is unlikely that the enigmatic figure featured in One Piece chapter 1121 is the same man marked by the flames. The two-page spread displayed a variety of characters from various groups, including the young Koby on one side and Fleet Admiral Akainu on the other.

Just like how the young Sabo from the Revolutionary Army stood on one side, the leader Monkey D Dragon stood on the other. Based on the order, the enigmatic figure would likely be a young man, similar to Garling Fingerland. However, the man engulfed in flames could possibly be an older individual and would therefore not be the mysterious man.

The initial image of the God Knights showcases several character silhouettes, with one holding a sword. The hilt of the sword is identical to the design of the enigmatic figure, suggesting that this individual could be the one depicted in the visual. This supports the theory that this mysterious person is a member of the God Knights.

It is unclear how he could be connected to the Nerona Family of Imu. Lili, the leader of the Nefertari family, bears a striking resemblance to her descendant Vivi. However, Imu’s physical appearance is still a mystery and it is unlikely that it will be revealed anytime soon.

Similarly, just like Imu, the first visual of the God Knights also features a character with a long and slender silhouette, making it the only basis for comparison.

This could possibly reveal the enigmatic character as Imu’s sibling, who played a significant part in the dissemination of the Poneglyphs and was a collaborator of Nefertari D Lili in her transgression, for which Imu has yet to pardon her.
