One Piece: The Straw Hat Pirates Escape Egghead Island with the Elbaf Giants
Joy Boy unleashes Conqueror’s Haki blast in One Piece chapter 1123, causing chaos
The latest installment of One Piece, titled The Void Fortnight and numbered 1123, opened with scenes from various locations on Egghead Island. All of the Marine officers were shown lying unconscious on the ground, and even the Vice Admirals were not immune to the power of the first pirate’s Conqueror’s Haki. In the midst of this chaos, the Seraphims attempted to revive the fainted Marines.
In contrast, the Giants acknowledged the destructive power of the Haki blast and expressed no resentment towards its users. In fact, Dorry went as far as to suggest that this Conqueror’s Haki may surpass that of Red Hair Shanks. Luffy could be seen thanking Emet from a distance, but the Ancient Iron Giant had already reached its limit and shut down.
Recognizing the opportunity, the Giants announced their intention to set off for Elbaf Island. Bonney reverted back to her child form, Luffy began to feel the effects of Gear 5 and became deflated, and the rest of the group relaxed, except for Sanji who remained fixated on Vegapunk’s lifeless body.
One Piece chapter 1123: Vegapunk’s Plans for His Death with Two Satellites
In One Piece chapter 1123, Sanji approached Vegapunk’s lifeless body and questioned him about the recent string of events. He expressed bewilderment at Vegapunk’s cryptic remarks about his demise, and the chapter then delved into a flashback from 2 weeks earlier.
Vegapunk Shaka informed both Vegapunk Stella and Vegapunk Pythagoras of the discovery that the energy readings of Mother Flame had been tampered with. Shaka disclosed that all readings related to the energy source had been expertly altered, suggesting that one of the Vegapunks may have been responsible. Stella wasted no time in pointing the finger at Vegapunk Lilith, believing her to be the embodiment of ‘evil.’
Despite Stella’s insistence that Lilith was to blame, the other three individuals chose not to jump to a baseless conclusion. Instead, they cut off their links from Punk Record and studied the behavior of the remaining four satellites. After a week, Vegapunk Pythagoras shocked Shaka and Stella by revealing that York was responsible for tampering with Mother Flame’s readings.
Pythagoras discovered that York’s synced memories with Punk Hazard were also fabricated. Stella expressed doubts about York’s actions, but he ultimately apologized to Lilith for accusing her without evidence. As a result, the Vegapunks uncovered evidence of tampering in other sectors, prompting them to launch a thorough investigation by monitoring the Transponder Snails as a starting point.
The voice recording exposed York’s divulgence of the Mother Flame to the Five Elders, causing Stella to become even more frustrated. Stella then realized that the rising sea levels could also be attributed to the sealing of the Mother Flame. This led to Stella’s ultimate decision to sacrifice himself in order to reveal the truth to the world.
Despite Stella’s efforts to hide the Transmission Transponder Snail inside Emet, the three Vegapunks proceeded with their plan. However, their progress was interrupted when York arrived and began interrogating Stella. Yet, Stella managed to remain composed. The three Vegapunks successfully recorded the ‘truth of the world’ message, but not before erasing their own memories. Before leaving, Vegapunk left a note for himself, reminding him to have faith in himself and accept his fate.
Upon waking up, the three Vegapunks were taken aback by the message, but they quickly realized its authenticity. The story then shifted to the moment when Vegapunk joined the Straw Hat Pirates and disclosed to Sanji the significance of his death in triggering a crucial event.
Despite not comprehending Vegapunk’s words, Sanji refused to accept his sacrifice and vowed that the Straw Hat Pirates would find a way to save him. The events of One Piece chapter 1123 concluded with Vegapunk expressing his desire for the Straw Hat Pirates to discover One Piece, while the Elbaf Giants rejoiced in their reunion with the crew.
One Piece chapter 1123: In summation
Despite lacking the action-packed scenes of the previous few chapters, One Piece chapter 1123 still managed to be highly entertaining by revealing crucial information that tied together loose ends from past events.
Sadly, Sanji was left to carry the weight of Vegapunk’s passing as he was the sole person aware of Vegapunk’s deeds and unable to seek support from others due to the difficulty in convincing them.
