According to leaked information, Akainu reaches out to Kizaru for further clarification on his assignment. He also blames Kizaru for not completing the mission successfully, but Kizaru boldly defends himself against his superior’s accusation. With tears in his eyes, Kizaru angrily questions Akainu if he has ever had to kill his closest companion and challenges him to visit Egghead if he still questions his loyalty.

The title of the chapter is ‘Best Friend,’ which reinforces the strong connection between Kizaru and Vegapunk. They have been close friends for many years. Furthermore, Kizaru has been acquainted with Sentomaru since the latter’s childhood. Sentomaru was hired by Vegapunk to be his bodyguard, and the trio frequently gathered together.
