The Journey To Elbaf
As the Straw Hats sailed towards Elbaf, the mood on the ship was far from good. Luffy’s spirits were low as they had not accomplished their mission entirely.
Despite their efforts to save her, Stella had passed away despite the numerous sacrifices made. As a Yonko, Luffy’s heightened sense of responsibility weighed heavily on him as he blamed himself for the deaths of many.
Why the Vegapunks Aren’t Dead

The Vegapunks are able to remain alive due to the preservation of their consciousness in punk records. As long as their bodies are reconstructed, their consciousness can be transferred back into them, ensuring that none of the Vegapunks have truly perished.
Upon hearing this, Luffy’s spirits are lifted and he immediately shifts into party mode. He indulges in some food and enthusiastically shares his determination to discover the One Piece. According to Vegapunk, the one who uncovers the One Piece will reign over the entire world, and Luffy boldly proclaims that he will be the one to claim that position.
The Consequences of the Egghead War
Despite the conclusion of the egghead war, there was no clear victor. Although the leaders of the world government fought to defeat Vegapunk, they ultimately failed as Lilith was able to escape. Furthermore, the Island was completely demolished without any discernible justification.
In this chapter, we were able to witness the appearance of Akainu, who arrived at egghead island to assess the situation. Kizaru addresses Akainu’s concerns here, displaying a rare display of emotion. It is evident that the loss of his best friend has greatly affected him.
Upon being accused by Akainu of slacking off, Kizaru became angered and retaliated, challenging Akainu to observe their work if he had the time to criticize.
It was a surprise to see Akainu apologizing to Kizaru for his behavior afterward.
A Mysterious Figure
Ultimately, as the chapter drew to a close and the group neared the Island, a mysterious figure’s silhouette came into view. His words hinted at his anticipation for the arrival of the straw hats.
