The last episode of One Piece leaves the mystery surrounding Sabo’s fate, while he took refuge in the kingdom of Lulusia: did he die during the attack?

One Piece has finally started the Egghead arc, and it’s already looking intense. The world is plunged into chaos, with the balance of power having undergone an unprecedented upheaval. And just to make matters worse, the mysterious ruler, Imu, begins to move.

Sabo, suspected of having murdered Nefertari Cobra, is on the run. Hidden from the authorities, he barely managed to contact the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army. He then mentions someone occupying the empty throne, but cannot add much: because Imu takes action and explodes the kingdom of Lulusia.

The new episode of One Piece also reveals an image of Sabo, his face lit up just before the destruction of the kingdom of Lulusia. And without adding more, the action then focuses on Luffy and his crew. So, did Sabo die during the Lulusia apocalypse?

Imu destroys the kingdom of Lulusia in chapter 1060, leaving Sabo’s fate unknown for several months. In chapter 1082, he arrives on the island of Kedétrav (or Kamabakka) and finds his revolutionary comrades. We can even note that he uses a Lulusia ship to get there.

He does not arrive alone, since he took all the survivors of the attack. As Koala and the others express their concerns for him, Sabo explains that he could not contact them because the Navy had bugged him. In the company of Dragon and Ivankov, Sabo details the events of the Reverie: the real murderers of Nefertari Cobra are Imu and the Five Elders.

Sabo tried to save her, but he was no match for the overwhelming powers of these villains. After barely escaping from Mary Geoise, he arrived in the kingdom of Lulusia. Despite the chaotic situation, people welcomed him with open arms and treated him like a hero, for killing Cobra. He could not contact headquarters either, as the telephones did not allow him to do so.

So the call made just before the destruction of Lulusia’s kingdom in One Piece was made after he put the sails towards Kamabakka. The people of Lulusia aboard the ship watched helplessly as their homeland was pulverized, having no choice but to follow their hero to Ivankov Island.
