The initial spoilers for One Piece chapter 1114 were released earlier this week, unveiling the highly anticipated secret of the Mother Flame. However, devoted fans have noticed that this revelation may have been hinted at in some way during the Egghead arc’s beginning.
Despite Shuieisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga being on a publication break for the Golden Week holiday this week, fans were surprised to see the early release of spoilers. Although they were brief, the minimal spoilers for One Piece chapter 1114 revealed an exciting discussion about the highly anticipated Mother Flame weapon, which is finally unveiled for the first time in this issue.
The Mother Flame has long been revered as one of the most intriguing enigmas in Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga. Following the recent spoilers, fans have delved into interpreting the intricacies of the weapon’s appearance and construction. This has resulted in many fans discovering that Oda may have foreshadowed the weapon’s design in the early stages of the Egghead arc.
Parallels between Bonney’s Return in Egghead Arc and the Creation of One Piece’s Mother Flame Weapon
In the supposed spoilers for the upcoming One Piece chapter, it is revealed that the Mother Flame is finally depicted. In addition to confirming its name as “Mother Flame,”the spoilers also suggest that readers will witness the creation of the device. Furthermore, it is described as a flame being held underwater within a storage tank.
The beginning of the Egghead arc coincidentally brought the Straw Hats face to face with a weather phenomenon known as a “warm eddy.”This massive swirling current of cold and warm water emerged from the sea and extended up into the sky. Oda’s panel portrayed the eddy with the warm water positioned at the center of the larger mass of cold water, depicted through careful shading.
After the alleged chapter 1114 spoilers were released, fans have observed that the warm eddy bears a striking resemblance to the description of the Mother Flame’s appearance. This could potentially hint at Bonney playing a crucial role in the ultimate fate of the Mother Flame weapon, particularly as the Egghead arc appears to be reaching its conclusion.
Similarly to the foreshadowing of the Mother Flame at the beginning of the Egghead arc, the weapon may ultimately be used at the end of the arc. In this scenario, Egghead Island would be the prime target for destruction if Imu chooses to abandon his efforts and completely destroy the island instead of attempting to protect Dr. Vegapunk’s creations.
If this is the path that Oda chooses, it is possible that some of the Straw Hats may end up destroying the weapon, similar to how they freed Bonney from the warm eddy’s hold at the beginning of the arc. While this is purely speculative, it appears that Oda has a plan in place to tie the arc’s beginning and end together, as evidenced by the foreshadowing of the Mother Flame mentioned at the start of the Egghead arc.
