One Piece: Eiichiro Oda corrected a major flaw in the manga

The author of One Piece apologized for an error in the manga, and finally corrected it in a new version.

The One Piece manga is currently at the climax of its Egghead arc, after numerous chapters offering shocking revelations. It must be said that Luffy’s adventure on the futuristic island was rich in muscular actions and gripping explanations.

And while chapter 1109 also promises its share of surprises, notably on the famous truth that Dr. Vegapunk wants to reveal concerning the world, the author focused on another detail. Because before getting to the battle between the Navy and Egghead Island, Eiichiro Oda had apologized for a mistake.

Good news: the mangaka took advantage of the publication of a new volume to correct the problem. But what was it all about?

Eiichiro Oda fixes chapter 1098 in volume 108 of One Piece

In Japan, volume 108 of One Piece is expected on March 4. It will compile chapters 1098 to 1100, and will therefore feature not only Luffy’s fight against Kizaru, but also the entire story of Kuma.

However, chapter 1098 caused a lot of talk when it was released, because its drawings were considered approximate by its author. Eiichiro Oda had indeed explained that he had not managed to finish on time, and said he was sorry. But the error has now been corrected, according to the first feedback on social networks.

“Chapter 1098 received an update in this volume on its final version, while Oda failed to complete it.”

In addition to the emotionally charged chapters, the volume includes a special cover featuring Luffy in his Gear 5 form. Kizaru stands behind it, in the very center of the cover, shooting lasers from his hand.

Finally, the publication of volume 108 of One Piece will also be an opportunity to publish Eiichiro Oda’s responses to his readers, on a wide range of subjects.
