One Piece Episode 1089 will officially kick off the Egghead arc in the anime: here’s its release date, time, and spoilers.
One Piece recently concluded its Wano Country saga. The pirates will therefore set sail again, leaving feudal Japan to head for a futuristic island: Egghead. After the epic filled with samurai and other mythical dragons, the Straw Hats will rush into a new, very different adventure, and which promises to new scenes as epic as they are tragic.
The last episode lifted the veil on Luffy’s intentions: while we believed him to be driven by his dream of becoming the king of pirates, we ultimately learned that it was only a lever to achieve his true objective..
Additionally, as the Straw Hats head to a new island, Luffy’s brother Sabo finds himself at the heart of the turmoil. The World Government makes him Cobra’s assassin, but Luffy and his crew cannot bring themselves to believe this version.

One Piece Episode 1089 will release on Sunday, January 7, 2024 on Crunchyroll. According to the official schedule of the site, it will be broadcast from 9 a.m..
One Piece Episode 1089 Preview and Spoilers
One Piece Episode 1089 is titled “A New Saga Begins. Luffy and Sabo’s cape!”
After Luffy reveals his true dream to his crew, Franky says they must find the last Poneglyph. However, Robin assures that no one has seen him for a long time, so his location remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Navy HQ is in chaos, trying to locate Sabo as he moves from the Kingdom of Kamabakka to the Kingdom of Lulusia. One of the Five Elders calls him unlucky for seeking refuge in a kingdom that rebelled against the World Government a few days before, while his colleague assures that it is simply “fate” .
Sabo barely manages to contact the headquarters of the Revolutionary Army and swears to Dragon that he did not kill Cobra. It also speaks of someone occupying the empty throne. But the Kingdom of Lulusia explodes right after. The One Piece series shows a glimpse of Imu, suggesting her involvement in the annihilation of an entire kingdom. As for Sabo’s whereabouts, it remains unknown.
A few days later, the Straw Hats are caught in a huge storm, and save Jewelry Bonney, one of the pirates of the Worst Generation. For their part, the SWORD members worry about Koby, begging Grus to join the rescue mission. Unfortunately, infiltrating Blackbeard’s base in Hachinosu is too risky, even for the Navy’s top brass.
