In their base forms, they seem to be evenly matched, exchanging blows without either gaining the upper hand. However, when they activate their Haki, the two once again appear to be on equal ground.

Lucci inquired about Luffy’s most recent poster, prompting the latter to activate Gear 5 and transform his surroundings into rubber. The Drums of Liberation also kick in, satisfying Lucci’s curiosity.

In the 1100th episode of One Piece, Vegapunk visits his laboratory and interrogates Nami about Luffy’s transformation. However, she simply attributes it to the power of the Gum-Gum Fruit. Nevertheless, Vegapunk refutes this claim and proceeds to unveil that Luffy’s physical changes resemble those of the Sun God Nika.

According to Vegapunk, despite his name being erased from history, it will never truly disappear as long as it is desired by others. He believes that desire is the driving force behind everything in the world, including the creation of Devil Fruits. These fruits represent humanity’s longing for evolution and each possess unique powers that symbolize the endless possibilities for the future.

This concept suggests that those who possess Devil Fruit abilities exist in alternate realities that were once mere fantasies. However, this also means enduring the burden of being rejected by the sea, the source of all nature.

In One Piece episode 1100, Sentomaru arrives and is dismayed to see Luffy and Lucci using Egghead as their own personal playground. He stands with the Seraphims to support the CP0, but Vegapunk intervenes and reveals that the CP0 is actually targeting him. As a result, they must be removed from the island.

Sentomaru, being of higher authority than the CP0, orders the Seraphim, including S-Bear, to attack the Navy. This command is given with his authority and ability to do so.

After instructing S-Snake to guide Luffy and his crew to the Vacuum Rocket, Sentomaru approaches Luffy, who had just defeated Lucci. In their conversation, Sentomaru asks if Luffy would help Vegapunk escape, to which Luffy confidently agrees, despite Sentomaru’s doubts. Suddenly, Lucci launches a surprise attack on Sentomaru, causing him to stumble and potentially lose control of the Seraphim.

In the previous episode, Pythagorus had refused CP0’s appeal to use Egghead. However, Shaka, sensing their resolve, recognized the need to devise a plan to thwart their efforts.

As CP0 utilized S-Bear’s Paw-Paw Fruit abilities to reach the island, Shaka immediately instructed the researchers to evacuate and had the Seraphims S-Hawk, S-Snake, and S-Shark ready. Sentomaru was also summoned by Shaka.

In the interim, Luffy decided to aid Vegapunk in his fight against the World Government, solely based on his comical appearance. He then asked for their assistance in bringing Bonney to the Labophase, but Vegapunk disappeared.

As Luffy, Jimbei, and Chopper made their way towards Vegapunk’s lab while carrying an unconscious Bonney, they stumbled upon a severely injured Atlas. She had been investigating the commotion caused by Kaku and ended up in a fierce battle against Lucci.

As the episode came to a close, Luffy was filled with fury and demanded to know if Lucci was responsible for her current condition. This was especially troubling to Luffy, as she had previously shown him kindness by offering him food.
