Toei Animation Studio has announced a delay for One Piece Episode 1123, but fans can look forward to an exciting new “special” project in the meantime.
The One Piece anime is set to commemorate its 25th anniversary on October 20, 2024. Toei has ambitious plans for this notable milestone, marking a significant achievement for a series that has been airing weekly for such an impressive duration.
With the anniversary falling on the same date as the regular anime schedule, the studio has decided to air a special film directed by animator Megumi Ishitani.
This project will showcase stories from the crew’s perspective as presented through the eyes of ordinary people. Besides Ishitani, director Keisuke Mori will also helm the short film. Both artists were part of the production team for One Piece Episode 1015, which is one of the highest-rated episodes in the series’ history.
