One Piece is going on another hiatus after Chapter 1119, but it’s short

After releasing three consecutive chapters, the One Piece manga has confirmed a brief hiatus. The question now is, how long will this break last after Chapter 1119?

The Elbaf Arc is approaching in the One Piece manga. The battle against the Gorosei persists even as Luffy boards the Giants’ ship. With Luffy’s encouragement, Bonney transforms into Nika and they prepare to confront Mars.

Despite Eiichiro Oda’s busy schedule or occasional health issues, the manga has managed to continue the Egghead Island Arc with only a few breaks. It is uncommon for three consecutive chapters to be released, as most Shonen Jump mangaka typically take breaks every three weeks, which is also Oda’s usual schedule.

Undoubtedly, Oda’s supporters are standing by him during the break, even though they are eager to discover what unfolds in the upcoming chapter. The manga will resume on July 14, 2024, with Chapter 1120 after a one-week hiatus.

A single fan expresses, “Am I the only one who feels that whenever Oda-Sensei goes on a break, I don’t feel sad but rather happy? Yes, I do miss One Piece and eagerly await the next chapter, but I am genuinely happy that Oda is taking breaks and hopefully prioritizing his health.”

“Experiencing three consecutive weeks of success was incredible. The anticipated and well-deserved break was taken. One Piece has consistently been at the peak of its performance for several years. The transition from Wano to Egghead is mind-blowing. Not a single complaint, despite the numerous breaks during Egghead. The quality of the show makes it all worthwhile,”another source comments on social media.

Another fan, commenting on the recent chapters, expresses their excitement, stating, “It’s been a while since we’ve gotten three chapters in a row. I’m glad Oda is taking a break and I hope we can get another set of three chapters soon.”
