One Piece Season 2 First Look: Fans React to Live-Action Chopper Reveal

One Piece enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the appearance of their beloved doctor, Tony Tony Chopper, in the live-action Season 2, and the anticipation is finally coming to an end.

Chopper is a blue-nosed reindeer endowed with the abilities of the Human Human Fruit. As a Zoan-type user, he can morph into various shapes and sizes; however, for practicality, he typically remains in his miniature form.

This charming pirate serves as the crew’s doctor under Luffy and will be introduced during the Drum Island Arc. Fans are curious about how he will be depicted in a real-life format, given the challenges of recreating such a character using CGI.

Netflix has recently released a new video on YouTube offering an insider’s view of the production for Season 2, with Iñaki Godoy presenting Chopper, a new character for the live-action adaptation.

The reveal has sparked a lot of discussion among fans, with one person commenting, “I know he’ll resemble his current design, but it’d be nice if his face looked more like early Chopper.”

Another fan added, “It looks like they might be going for a muppet-like style? But it also has a CGI vibe. Maybe akin to Detective Pikachu but less costly? I can appreciate that.”

“The attention they’re putting into this really makes me happy; One Piece truly has no flaws,” remarked a third fan.

Nevertheless, since this is just a sneak peek and Chopper’s face isn’t visible, some fans remain skeptical.

As noted by one fan, “They need to reveal his look months before the premiere so we can react if it’s not right and adjust accordingly, like in the Sonic situation. I’m not satisfied until I see his cute face. That’s my son; don’t mess with my son’s face.”
